Special Message concerning Serious Respiratory Illness Impacting Dogs

Recognizing the presence of a serious respiratory illness impacting dogs, we are committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of your pets. We want to assure you that Happy Hound is implementing rigorous protocols to ensure our mobile vans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each pet grooming session. Opting for our mobile grooming service offers the added benefit of individualized attention, as we do not co-locate pets, making it the safest choice for your furry companions.

Do you clip all breeds?

We do most breeds which can be handled by a single groomer. If you are unsure about the size of your pet please add it in the comments when scheduling your appointment.

Grooming Requests

We can clip your dog any way you want as long as he/she is not matted. Just let us know how you would like your dog to be groomed at the time you make your appointment. This allows us to schedule ample time for your dog's appointment depending on your needs.

Do you do sanitary clipping?

Yes, if we are going to give your dog a trim we will clip that area, but please let us know if you would like anything special done or if your dog is sensitive in certain areas.

Do you have special shampoos for delicate skin or skin problems?

Yes, we can use a delicate skin shampoo with oatmeal among others depending on your dog's skin.

Do you use tranquilizers for hyper dogs?

NO, we never use any type of tranquilizers; we may use a muzzle if your dog is not happy about the grooming. Although even with a muzzle, if he/she becomes aggressive, we reserve the right to decide if we will continue with the grooming process or not.

Do you groom all breeds?

We groom all breeds as long as they can be groomed by a single groomer. If you are unsure about the size of your large dog please ask when scheduling your appointment.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, we take credit cards or cash only. [ Sorry No Personal Checks ]

Do you express anal glands?

We do ONLY upon request. There is an additional charge.

Do you have profesional Groomers on Staff?

You can take comfort knowing that your pet will be groomed by a Profesional Groomer. Our groomers take pride in grooming your pet to your specifications. 

What is Fluff Drying?

Fluff drying blows out your pet's excess coat and dead skin giving your pets groom a longer lasting finish.  

What kind of products do you use?

Top of the line products, we use the best, because that is what your pet deserves.  The products Happy Hound uses have been carefully selected.  We have an array of products that are designed by pet care specialists for the professional groomer.  From color-enhancing, to oatmeal and delicate skin shampoos, we have what your pet needs.

What is a Hydro-therapeutic massage?

Hydro-therapeutic massage provides soothing relief for healthy animals as well as dogs with hip dysphasia, and aches and pains caused by poor circulation and arthritis. This stimulating bath not only massages but removes loose hair and dead skin, leaving a healthy, strong, lustrous coat.

Why can't you give me a specific time that you will come by?

We will book your appointment and give you a 1 hour window. While we would love to give you an exact time, we will never jeopardize the safety or well-being of a pet by hastening a groom. Nor will we put our pet stylist at risk by rushing to the next appointment. Please know we will do our best to maintain our schedule but if we are running behind or ahead of schedule, you will receive a courtesy call from Happy Hound.

How often should I groom my pet?

We recommend a grooming appointment every 4-6 weeks. The grooming needed by each pet depends on the type of breed, type of coat and the level of activity of your pet.

Can I set up an automatic appointment each month?
Yes, we recommend that you set up a recurring appointment and we will remind you the day before each upcoming appointment.

Can I add on any extra services at the time of the appointment?
Absolutely! Just let your pet stylist know and she will gladly add on any extras.


Once we have given you a day and time we will contact you ONE day prior to your appointment.

If we are NOT able to reach you to confirm your time for the appointment the day before your scheduled visit YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL NEED TO BE RE-SCHEDULED.
